Fianna Fáil has slim lead as election day arrives, latest poll claims




As voting approaches in less than 36 hours, a recent Business Post RED C opinion poll indicates that Fianna Fáil possesses a very slim lead over both Fine Gael and Sinn Féin, reports RTE.

The online survey, which gathered responses from 1,004 voters over the past six days until yesterday, shows that Fianna Fáil remains steady at 21%, similar to a prior poll conducted just over two weeks ago.

Fine Gael has dropped two percentage points to reach 20%, while Sinn Féin has risen by two points to also achieve 20%, reports RTE.

Support for Independents is reported at 14%, reflecting a decrease of one point.

The Social Democrats remain steady at 6% support, while Labour has increased by one point to 4%.

Aontú also maintains a 4% support level, showing a decline of one point, reports RTE.

The Greens hold their position at 4%. Independent Ireland has gained one point to reach 4%.

People Before Profit-Solidarity has not changed and remains at 2%, with other parties accounted for at 1%.

The margin of error for this poll is plus or minus 3%, reports RTE.
