Fianna Fail promise to have 4,000 new nurses and 2,000 new gardai if they’re election

It’s the season for promises and Fianna Fail are promising many, many things.

They claim that they’ll raise the childcare weekly subsidy from €20 to €80 a week and increase OAP’s money by €25 a week while cutting the hated USC charge.

Party leader Micheal Martin says that they’ll help first time buyers and savers with a new saving scheme to be introduced.

Martin claims that they’ll cut waiting times in hospitals to a maximum of 4 hours.

They’ll also introduce 4,000 nurses and 2,000 gardai.

Whether they elected is another thing, but if they do, they’ve a lot to live up to.
