Brazil have booked their place in the last eight after a 2-0 victory over Mexico this afternoon.
The Brazilians who were favourites to progress showed their class as two goals from Neymar and Firmino put an end to Mexican hopes.
Mexico who hoped to pull off another upset, showed bright spells throughout the game but lack the cutting edge to trouble a quick countering Brazilian side.
Brazil who will now face either Japan or Belgium in the last eight, will have Neymar to thank as he tapped home following a quick burst from Willian who squared the ball for the PSG man to slot home from six yards.
Although Mexico pushed hard for a much needed equaliser, they were made to pay late on as Neymar set up Firmino to tap home and put Brazil in the quarter finals.
