A group of concerned Irish citizens blocked a bus carrying asylum seekers from entering a site in Mullingar on Friday evening.
It is understood that the bus was attempting to enter Columb Barracks. Locals say they are extremely concerned that a vast number of migrants being planted in their area are unvetted and that they say there’s no resources for Irish people never mind unvetted migrants being placed in the area.
According to authorities, 120 asylum seekers are to be accommodated there.
