Over €23 million will be spent improving transport on a sustainable level in the greater Dublin area.
The government will fund 121 sustainable transport projects which will see improvements on bus services, cycle routes and pedestrian routes. This will include an expansion of the Dublin Bikes.
The 121 projects include allocations to Kildare, Meath and Wicklow County Councils with provision being made at a number of third level campuses for students to take the bus or cycle to college.
