“Finally someone is speaking up for us – the hardworking taxpayer” – Some workers are angry about the Back to School Allowance being paid into social welfare recipients’ bank accounts next week

People who are working, paying tax and receiving no social welfare help have been angered that some people in society will be paid a back to school allowance this week while they get nothing.

Some people on social media are quite annoyed at the fact they’ll be getting absolutely nothing next week, except caught up in traffic on their way to work, while others will be handed close to €300 to pay for things their children require to go back to school at the end of the summer.

The Back to School Allowance will be paid into people’s bank accounts next week.

Those entitled to receive the payment will see €285 added to their balance. Applications for the payment will remain open until September 30th.

What do you think? Is it fair on those people who work and get nothing? Tell us your thoughts in the Facebook post and share this with your friends.
