Wildfires in Portugal have injured 29 people, amidst searing heat of up to 45C.
Local authorities have issued a health alert, which will remain in place for the next 7 days at least.
While the highest temperatures are likely to be localized to one specific area, most of the country will see averages of high 30s to low 40s every day.
