Dublin North-West TD Noel Rock has said he is fully in favour for extending the current confidence in supply deal with Fianna Fail.
Mr Rock who was speaking to RTE’s Drivetime programme said Fianna Fail should consider extending the deal as the current arrangement is working for the country.
During the in depth interview which aired on Wednesday, Mr Rock said he fully believess that the electorate does not want another General Election.
Mr Rock who was responding to comments previously made by Fianna Fail’s Barry Cowan, also claimed that the Fianna Fail party are spoiling for an election whilst his party are in favour of certainty.
The Dublin North-West TD comments have come after recent reports suggest that Fianna Fail are unlikely to renew the deal which is due to expire after Budget 2019.
It is thought the Fianna Fail party who have supported the Fine Gael led minority Government since 2016 have become increasingly frustrated by the Government’s handling of key issues such as the current homeless and health crisis.
