Leo Varadkar has come out hard against Sinn Fein leader Mary Lou McDonald over the IRA army council.
Varadkar made comments about Mary Lou McDonald and the IRA army council after Garda Commissioner Drew Harris said that he agrees with the British security services and the PSNI that the IRA army council oversees both Sinn Fein and the IRA.
Varadkar said in a tweet:
“Why doesn’t McDonald disband the Army Council and the PIRA or if she cannot, repudiate them and sever all links and do so publicly and unequivocally? – ‘Harris agrees with PSNI that army council still oversees Sinn Féin and IRA’”
