Finnish parliament overwhelmingly supports the country’s bid to join NATO, in a direct slap in the face to Vladimir Putin

The Finnish parliament has overwhelmingly voted to support the country’s bid to join NATO, in what can only be described as a direct slap in the face to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Russian President must now be facepalming hard and raging non-stop, as the organization he dreads the most -NATO- is vastly expanding, something he wanted to avoid at all costs.

Finland, Sweden, and possibly even Ukraine will join the defence organization, meaning Russia will be surrounded on all sides and unable to threaten anyone, as NATO would immediately and decisively intervene to destroy the threat.

The motion for Finland to join NATO was passed 184-7.

28 out of the 30 allied countries have already ratified Finland’s and Sweden’s bids to become members of the alliance. Hungary and Turkey, both friendly with Russia, have not yet done so.
