The theory that the Covid-19 virus originated in a Chinese laboratory has now been tacitly endorsed by U.S. Department of Energy with many mainstream media pundits now claiming they always suspect or had inklings that this was the case.
It is astounding therefore when one recalls the utter suppression of such a theory for the past three years.
Individuals were silenced and smeared, news outlets were censored and banned from social media and even the President of the United States, Donald Trump, was roundly condemned as a racist for suggesting what is now an apparently obvious fact to many.
The New York Times, one of the media outlets which smeared any one dared suggest Covid was artificial was quick to point out that “U.S. spy agencies remain divided over the origins of the virus.” The FBI however, had concluded with “moderate confidence” that intelligence pointed to a lab leak origin or the novel coronavirus.
It’s unlikely that the media outlets who attacked and derided President Trump and others who questioned the official narrative promoted by the political and media establishment, which now know to be false, will apologise or show any contrition.
