A five year old Irish boy is currently recovering in a hospital after nearly drowning at a hotel swimming pool in Ibiza.
The young boy was rescued from the water by a life guard and revived by the poolside. It is understood the young boy suffered cardiac arrest and had to be given CPR to save his life. It is believed the incident occurred around midday on Friday.
Local media say the young boy was quickly rushed to Can Misses Hospital before doctors decided to transfer him to Son Espases Hospital on the neighbouring island of Majorca.
Thankfully the boy was moved out of intensive care and is said to be in a stable condition.
