Flight operations have reportedly resumed across the United States following a major system outage.
No fewer than 5,400 flights in and out of the country were disrupted due to a failure in the Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM) system.
NOTAM messages inform pilots of potential hazards along the planned route, and this information is required before planes are cleared for take-off.
