Air traffic chaos is set to continue for flights through Heathrow Airport as restrictions have been extended until October 29th.
According to Sky News, the restrictions will not now end on September 11th as originally planned. They have put a cap on passengers travelling through the airport – the maximum number of passengers each day is 100,000.
Heathrow Airport has seen several months of difficulties, including long queues at security and check-in and problems with baggage collection. It is claimed that a shortage of staff is at the root of many of the problems and that it takes a long time to train up new staff.
