Earlier this year fans of combat sports were treated to an epic crossover fight between one of boxings greatest ever fighters and the UFC’s biggest fighter.
Well now it seems we could soon be set for Mayweather VS McGregor II as talks are reportedly underway for the two to meet once again.
However in a rather surprising twist the pair will instead meet inside the octagon rather than the ring.
The surprise fight which was mooted by Floyd Mayweather Jnr earlier this month has gained further traction today as UFC chief Dana White revealed talks for a mega fight with the 50-0 fighter in the UFC are currently ongoing.
Speaking to ESPN White said the following: “We’re talking to Floyd about doing a UFC deal. It’s real. He was talking about [boxing] Conor McGregor. Was that real? Have you heard Floyd talk about many things that aren’t real? He usually tips his hand when he’s in the media and then that shit ends up happening.”
“We’re interested in doing something with Floyd. Everything is a realistic possibility. Mayweather vs. McGregor fucking happened.”
“Anything is possible.”
