Former boxer Floyd Mayweather has reportedly offered to pay for George Floyd’s funeral expenses.
According to reports in the US, Mayweather has offered to cover the costs of Mr Floyd funeral.
It is believed that Mayweather made the offer to Mr Floyd’s family in recent days.
Mayweather’s offer to cover the costs of Mr Floyd’s funeral was confirmed by Leonard Ellerbe, the CEO of Mayweather Promotions, who told ESPN: “He’ll probably get mad at me for saying that, but yes, [Mayweather] is definitely paying for the funeral.”
“Floyd has done these kind of things over the last 20 years.”
Mayweather’s offer comes after Mr Floyd was killed after police officer Derek Chauvin was seen kneeling on his neck during an arrest in Minneapolis last week.
