There’s said to be major internal rows over the proposed new Maternity Hospital. The debacle has now reached national level with quite some bizarre twists and turns.
The former master of Holles St was asked to resign from the board of the National Maternity Hospital via a text message.
Boylan said he will not resign after he was asked to leave over his criticism of a Government proposal to build a new maternity hospital on the St Vincent’s hospital site in Dublin and hand over ownership to the Sisters of Charity.
So far the hospital has said that Boylan has a duty of loyalty to its board.
