
The former frontman of Oasis, Liam Gallagher has issued an apology of sorts to fans of Freddie Mercury after he seemingly took a swipe at the former Queen frontman in a tweet.
Gallagher who headlined at the Isle of Wight festival this past weekend, seemingly angered fans after he stated that Mercury was a ‘goofy c**t’ in a tweet that has since been labelled as ignorant.
The rather controversial outburst from the singer who has been known to voice his views and opinions in the past came when a fan posted a question which read: ‘Freddie Mercury – Bohemian Rhapsody. Liam Gallagher – Songbird.’
So I wake up to news that I hit another and I mean another all time low after my vile and I mean vile outburst outburst did somebody say outburst about Fred mercy I'm sooooooo sorry if I upset anybody it's a good job there's 24 hours in a day as you'll get over it LG x

However following a backlash from fans of both bands, Gallagher issued an apology of sorts which reads: ‘I’m sooooooo sorry if I upset anybody it’s a good job there’s 24 hours in a day as you’ll get over it LG x’.

It is believed Gallagher’s original tweet angered fans of both Queen and Oasis who labelled Gallagher’s comments as ignorant.
