Former police officer Derek Chauvin has reportedly been put on suicide watch at a maximum-security prison following his conviction for the murder of George Floyd.

Mr. Chauvin, 45, was found guilty on all three counts he was charged with. He was remanded in custody after the verdict hearing, and will be sentenced at a later date. He might face up to 40 years in prison.

It is understood that Mr. Chauvin has been moved to a segregated area of the Oak Park Heights prison facility for his own safety.
