Former RTÉ producer Kirean Creaven has been sentenced to 18 months in prison after he admitted to grooming a 13 year old girl.
Mr Creaven who worked with RTE since 1998, was sentenced at Leeds Crown Court this afternoon.
The former producer pleaded guilty to grooming and attempting to engage a child for sexual activity.
Mr Creaven pleaded guilty after he was caught by a group called Predator Exposure who set up a sting operation last November.
During the sting operation Mr Creaven travelled to Leeds to meet with whom he thought was a 13 year old girl.
