A former Russian finance minister has acknowledged that the country’s economy is in dire straits.
According to Andrey Nechayev, Western sanctions have crippled Russia’s economy, though Government-controlled media pretend otherwise. Widespread hardship is likely to follow very soon.
It’s quite likely that Mr. Nechayev will now find himself accidentally falling out of a window after his comments, such is the fate of most who question the official narrative.
Nevertheless, it’s clear that sanctions are working as designed and the Russian economy is imploding.
