Former Tanaiste and Fine Gael politician Peter Barry has passed away after a short illness, aged 88.
Mr. Barry was a TD between 1969 and 1997, holding different ministerial positions throughout the years. He also served as Tánaiste to Garreth Fitzgerald between January and March 1987.
He was instrumental in the expansion of the family business, Barry’s Tea.
