Former US President Donald Trump is potentially looking at spending over three decades in jail if convicted of espionage and related crimes.
Following the recovery of highly classified material during a recent FBI-led search at Mr. Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home, the disgraced former President might face a stiff penalty that, given his age, would effectively amount to a life sentence.
The search warrant had been personally sanctioned by US Attorney General Merrick Garland and signed by a federal judge.
