One of the founders and leaders of the Black Lives Matter movement has been criticized after she purchased a $1.4 million mansion in the exclusive Topanga Canyon neighbourhood of Los Angeles, which is almost entirely populated by white people.
Self-described “Marxist” Patrisse Khan-Cullors purchases the million dollar home just minutes’ drive from the beaches of Malibu which has prompted other members of BLM to call for an investigation into where she procured the funds.
BLM, which was at the forefront of the most destructive riots in US history last year, following the death of drug addicted, home invader George Floyd, has received billions in donations for members of the public but mostly from corporate giants.
The organisation has been condemned over the fact that none of this money has made it to black communities in need.
