45 year old Jack Dorsey, founder and CEO of Twitter has announced his resignation form the company on Monday.
Shares in the publicly listed company rocketed by 9% when the market opened.
According to Sky News, trading was halted on the New York Stock Exchange on Monday after a 9% spike, but shares resumed trading with a gain of
more than 4.5% ahead of where they started the day.
Dorsey is said to be one of the reasons President Trump is now allowed on Twitter at the moment.
