Authorities in the US aged confirmed that four people have been left in critical condition in hospital following a shooting incident at a hospital in Chicago.
It is understood that a police officer and a hospital worker were amongst those critically injured following the shooting at Mercy Hospital.
Police investigating the shooting say the gunman was also killed in the incident which led to a partial evacuation at the hospital.
It is currently not know what were the gunamn’s motivations for carrying out the attack at hospital which is located on the south side of the city.
