Four men arrested in connection with disappearance of champion dog Clares Rocket are released from custody

Gardaí have released the four men who were arrested and questioned over the theft of prize-winning greyhound Clares Rocket.
The men had been arrested by armed gardaí in in Co Kilkenny on Tuesday night. 

The investigation continues and a file is being prepared for the DPP to determine if charges will be brought in the future.

The two and a half year old champion dog, from the Riverside Kennels at Golden in Co Tipperary, was reported missing early Tuesday morning.

The dog, known as one of the fastest in Ireland and the UK, had earned over €50,000 in prize money at two big races on the Irish circuit and is the favourite to win the British derby next year.

Clares Rocket is also expected to as have huge earning potential as a stud dog in future years.
