A train derailment and a subsequent explosion has killed at least four people and injured dozens more.
The incident happened at the train station located in the Bulgarian village of Hitrino, about 280km northeast of the capital, Sofia.
It is understood the convoy was transporting propane-butane and propylene when it derailed. Some carriages hit power lines and a conflagration ensued. The force of the blast flattened at least 20 nearby structures.
Emergency services are at the scene, fighting the fire that resulted from the explosion and searching for survivors.
