A gang has beaten a man after trying to hijack a car in Co Tyrone, reports Breaking News.
Police arrested four people after the attack in Omagh at 9.45pm on Thursday.
The victim was in the car park of a bus depot on Drumragh Avenue when several men approached her.
One of them took his car keys, while the others sat in the back seat and told him to drive or get into the boot, the PSNI said.
When the man refused, they dragged him out of the car, beat and kicked him.
He also attacked a woman who was lying on the ground, reports Breaking News.
The attackers then tried to drag the man into the trunk of their car and then drove off in their own car.
A PSNI statement said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who may have been travelling in the area shortly before or after 9.30pm on Thursday and saw any suspicious activity to contact us on 101, quoting reference number 1948 12/10/23,” reports Breaking News.
