Fourteen counties remain under rainfall warning today, as heavy and prolonged rain cause major problems in southern areas.
The warning is in effect until midnight tonight for the whole of Munster, plus counties Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Wexford, Wicklow, Offaly, and Galway.
Up to 40mm of rain might fall in some places, which might lead to localized flooding.
