The actor John Mahoney, best known for his playing the crotchety patriarch on Frasier, has sadly died.
Mr Mhoney’s publicist told TMZ that the 77-yr-old actor passed away Sunday in hospice care after an illness.
Mr Mahoney played Martin Crane, the father to Frasier and Niles Crane, for all 11 seasons of the intentionally successful TV show.
A flood of tributes have already poured in for the legendary actor.
