France has extended its lockdown measures until the 11th of May.
In an announcement French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed that the lockdown will last at least another 4 weeks.
Although the French President the country said they are making progress in tackling the virus, he said measures must remain in place in order to protect one another.
Macron who acknowledged that his country wasn’t ready for the outbreak, moved to reassure the public by stating that numbers are falling.
He added that the measures put in place are working.
