Free speech activist Peter Casey comes out hard against “freeloading” migrants who should be “put back on a plane”

Free speech activist Peter Casey has garnered much support on social media once again in the last 24 hours after it emerged that he thinks freeloading direct provision migrants should be put back on the plane that they landed in Ireland on.

During a very heated debate on last night’s RTE’s The week in politics, Independent candidate Peter Casey has once again spoken for many people who want their voices heard in the political sphere in Ireland.

Casey said that genuine refugees who need help should be given their warm Irish welcome, but said in an interview to the Sunday Times that there are a lot of freeloaders in direct provision and that they should be put back on a plane.

It’s understood that Peter Casey would not be joining Nigel Farage’s new party called the Brexit party but that he is running for election in May.

A heated debate ensued where Fianna Fail candidate Brendan Smith said Peter Casey’s comments were terrible claiming that people are fleeing from war and that they’re not freeloaders.

Meanwhile Sinn fein’s Matt McCarty jumped in to say that the treatment of asylum seekers in direct provision is a source of shame for anyone in Fine Gael or Fianna Fail, clearly trying to score political points.
