Brave French citizens have rallied in Paris over the weekend to pay tribute to schoolteacher Samuel Paty who was beheaded by a Muslim in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine in retaliation for showing his students pictures mocking the founder of Islam, Mohammed.
The killer, an as yet unnamed 18-year-old Chechen migrant, was shot dead by police at the scene of the atrocity while nine other Muslims have been arrested as part of the police investigation into the plot.
Police told the AFP news agency that Paty had hosted a class discussion with secondary school students about cartoons of Islam’s Prophet Muhammad, including the incident in which the irreverent magazine Charlie Hebdo was attacked after publishing derogatory cartoons of Mohammed.
12 people were killed in that attack, but France is no stranger to Muslim terrorism. French people have been forced to become accustomed to seeing their compatriots regularly butchered in the streets of their own nation by some deranged Mohammedan incapable to integrating into Western society.
