Actress Kirstie Alley has been on the receiving end of a torrent of abuse and hate after she publicly expressed her support for Donald Trump’s re-election.
The 69-year-old actress tweeted:
“I’m voting for @realDonaldTrump because he’s NOT a politician. I voted for him 4 years ago for this reason and shall vote for him again for this reason.
He gets things done quickly and he will turn the economy around quickly.”
As could be expected, this tweet kicked a hornet’s nest of liberal rage with fellow actors piling on with the attacks.
Fellow actors Judd Apatow and Patricia Arquette attacked her disparaging her career and launching personal attacks.
In response the ‘Cheers’ and ‘Look Who’s Talking’ star tweeted:
“I guess I’m not allowed to have a viewpoint without being called a really nasty names by what I’m going to suppose are really nasty people.”
She went onto tweet:
“Stick to your guns. Not always easy to be under fire but always easier than going against your own integrity.”
