The embattled French President Emmanuel Macron has ordered the deployment of troops to Paris ahead of the 19th Yellow Vest protest this Saturday.
The protests which were sparked by Macron’s imposition of higher taxes of fuel to fight climate change have long since expanded into a wider movement against the political elites of the country and globalism in general.
The 5,000 troops will be equipped with live ammunition and will fire on French protesters should they feel scared General Bruno Leray, the military governor of Paris, has declared.
The anti-globalism protesters are planning marches across France with some talking of blocking ports into the country.
The French government has moved to ban protests and suppress free speech in light of the demonstrations and Prime Minister Edouard Philippe has said fine on those who exercise their democratic rights will be increased.
Paris will be the focal centre of these protests and the historically unpopular and hated President looks prepared to use deadly force to defend his EU backed regime.
