A complete evacuation at Manchester Airport’s Terminal 3 had taken place this morning after reports of a suspicious bag.
An armed police response unit rushed to the scene with flights experiencing major delays as a result.
Greater Manchester Police said a bomb disposal unit is still at the airport.
All passengers have been taken off planes and buses. Flights are slowly beginning to get back on track after but delays are expected.
The incident happened around 9:30am and police believe the bag may have just been unattended but could take no chance given the heightened security across the UK.
