Motorists and pedestrians have been warned to be extra careful this morning, as freezing temperatures overnight have left a lot of ice and frost on the roads and pathways across the country.
A number of minor road crashes have been reported this morning, and a few roads remain in a bad condition or totally impassable due to flooding.
Temperatures will hover between 4-6C today, with long sunny spells. The thermometer will drop to -5C in places tonight, giving rise to widespread ice and frost formation once again.
