The EG group which operates 389 fuel stations across the UK have been forced to place a £30 cap on fuel purchases following a surge in demand.
According to Sky News, the groups were forced to put the maximum limit in place as drivers have been flocking to fuel stations across the country.
It is understood that the cap doesn’t apply to HGV vehicles and emergency services vehicles as they are deemed an essential service.
The EG group say the cap is being introduced in order to provide a fair system for everyone.
