Funeral details have been announced for a husband and wife who died at home in Clare this week, reports The Mirror.
The bodies of Joe Collins and his wife Claire were found at their home in Kilnaboy, near Corofin, at around 2.30pm on Thursday.
The couple is survived by two adult daughters, Sarah and Tara, and recently became grandparents to their children.
“They will be sadly missed by their loving daughters Sara and Tara, Sara’s partner Michael and their cherished grandson Rian, also by the Meere and Collins families. Claire’s parents Angela and Pat and her brothers Paul and Ronnie. Joe’s mother Kathleen, brothers Michael, Pat, Brian and sister Mina. as well as their brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, neighbours and many friends,” a statement said, reports The Mirror.
Garda officials said in a statement to The Irish Mirror on Saturday afternoon that they would not be releasing any post-mortem results.
“The results of these post mortems will not be released for operational reasons,” said a gardai spokesperson, reports The Mirror.
