Fungie, the beloved sea creature that has been swimming around the waters surrounding the Dingle peninsula for longer than most can remember, has picked up a nasty looking injury.
The wound, located just over his dorsal fin, looks like it has been inflicted by a boat’s propeller. Fungie is known to swim close to boats on occassion.
Though it looks deep and wide, experts have said that it should heal promptly, so Fungie will likely be around for another while.
