Arguably Ireland’s greatest ever comedian Brendan Grace tragically passed away on Thursday morning.
His family have thanked the comedian’s fans for their outpouring of sorrow and support and this harrowing time.
In a statement, his family said:
“Brendan’s family wish to express their gratitude for the many messages of support and outpouring of love from his adoring and loyal fans.
We have lost a very bright star. May he watch over us and rest in peace.”
The Dubliner known by many as ‘the Bottler’ will have a star-packed funeral, no doubt, in Dublin’s Francis Street this morning with Red Hurley to sing many songs during the funeral service.
