There was further tragedy on Ireland’s waters as a man sadly passed away following a swimming accident.
It is understood that the man aged in 60s sadly passed away after getting into difficulties whilst swimming near Tramore beach on Sunday evening.
Gard say emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 5.30pm.
It is understood that the man was later taken to Waterford Regional Hospital where he passed away a short time later.
