It looks like there could be further travel disruption for commuters in Dublin as Luas drivers have voted in favour of strike action.
It is believed that there will be 24 or 48 hour stoppages are “quite likely” later this month as 223 Luas employees voted in a ballot calling for industrial action after a pay dispute with management. It is understood 221 SIPTU members voted in favour of industrial action, with only two people voting against.
However no strike action is expected right away as the union needs to give 21 days notice before taking part in any industrial action.
