In a truly sensational performance that was spread over two days, American Sam Querrey has beaten world number 1 Novak Djokovic in the 3rd round at Wimbledon.
The 6ft 6″ gently spoken giant went two sets to love up last night before a rain delay stopped play until this afternoon.
One set won back by Djokovic in the 3rd set saw Querrey raise his game again and seal the match in the 4th set tie break.
Querrey said after the match that he was absolutely thrilled by the win but that he’s just taking it one match at a time.
