A gang of up to five people is suspected to be behind the theft of up to €2k worth of whiskey from Cork city stores in recent days.
The gang hit stores in Ballincollig and Bishopstown.
Gardai have reason to believe the gang is a professional outfit specialized in the theft of alcohol.
It is likely the stolen goods might be heading for the black market.
