Gardaí are questioning a man in relation to a road accident in the city of Wicklow on Tuesday afternoon in which a pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a car.
The victim is said to be a man in his early 30s who was rushed to St Vincent’s Hospital. It’s understood that he is being treated for serious injuries to his chest and head.
The driver of the vehicle, another man in his 30s, was arrested at the scene and held at Wicklow Garda Station under the Criminal Justice Act where he is still be questioned in relation to the collision.
Gardaí ask anyone who witnessed this collision to contact them on the Confidential Line especially if they have dash cam footage.
