Gardaí have arrested a 20-year-old man after a Garda officer was injured following a stop and search on the M50.
It is understood the man was arrested after Gardai searched the vehicle he was travelling in and discovered a quantity of drugs worth in the region of €10,000
Gardaí say an officer sustained minor injuries after he was struck by the vehicle when the man tried to flee scene.
They added that the man was subsequently arrested after the vehicle was found crashed following a brief pursuit.
