Gardaí in Cork are continuing their investigation this morning after a 3-year-old boy was seriously injured following a hit and run incident on Monday.
It is understood the boy who is currently in serious condition in University Cork Hospital, was struck by a car on the Skehard Road in the Blackrock area of the city just before 4pm, on Monday afternoon.
Gardaí say the boy was rushed to hospital via air ambulance following the incident, but the vehicle involved in the incident failed to remain at the scene.
