Gardaí in Co Monaghan have launched an investigation after a man was seriously injured at a house in Castleblayney.
It is understood the man who is in critical condition in hospital was injured after went to a house following the Conor Mcgregor vs khabib Nurmagomedov fight.
Gardaí say they were informed of the incident by ambulance control, who attended the house at approximately 9.30am on Sunday morning.
